What’s Behind the Wall?
By Pastor Mike Mercurio
If you have walked through the Family Life Center recently, you no doubt noticed signs of renovation. Right there on the far side of the gym is a newly constructed wall where there used to be a curtain, covering the opening of the stage.
After a lot of careful thought, we realized that the stage was used far too infrequently as a stage and instead wound up being more of a storage space. Storage for churches is often a precious and valuable asset, but we have devised a plan to more efficiently create storage while at the same time opening up a brand new classroom. And when it comes to classroom space, you can never have enough.
In the weeks to come we will complete the room on the inside and nicely finish it on the outside. Thanks to some donated labor from a member of the Shalom church, we will be working on this project step by step. If you’re wondering if there is anything that you can do to help, the answer is yes.
The costs for this project are minimal, but if you want to make an extra gift of support, click here and share from your abundance. You can also spend time in prayer, asking God to bless this new space and to impact lives in the months and years to come.
