Farewell Dennis and Joni

Over the years, people come and go. Moving in and out of town is not uncommon, so we don’t always acknowledge the transitions. This time, however, is different. Dennis and Joni Miller have been attending our church for more than 25 years and have served faithfully along the way.
Dennis has been an elder, a Sunday School teacher, a youth volunteer and for a season he was the chairman of the Deacons. He has also been a very dear friend who has prayed for me and cared for me as one of the pastors. He was often the first one to arrive at church and the last one to leave. His contributions will be greatly missed.
Joni falls into the same set of categories. She has served as a Deaconess, the church financial secretary, a children and youth volunteer, our Office Manager and the Rental Coordinator. This last role put her in touch with the other churches in the building on a regular basis and she helped maintain a calendar that was very, very full. She also coordinated the outside rentals, for things like weddings, funerals and other church-related events.
This Saturday, we will gather together as a church to express our appreciation.

Bring a snack to share (an hors d'œuvre or a dessert)
No need to sign up in advance - just come
At the event: Cards will be available for you to write a note of encouragement or a special memory to the Millers. Also, we'll be taking photos of all attendees and will compile the photos and cards in a keepsake book for Dennis and Joni.
