David - The Movie

In our efforts to raise awareness and funds for the Healthy Food Giveaway, God has connected us to several local businesses who have generously donated gift cards, meals, and other items. Most recently, we connected with the General Manager of AMC Wheaton who was excited about the Healthy Food Giveaway ministry and donated theater space and a showing of the movie “David.” We shared the opportunity with our FAC family and ministry partners, and filled up the theater last Saturday! Many families, and especially children, came and we had a great time of fellowship.
The “David” movie highlighted the faith, courage, and obedience of David as he navigated God’s calling on his life from an early age, as well as opposition from his own family and King Saul. As David fled from King Saul and waited for God’s timing to step into the kingship, both the Philistines and Amalekites oppressed Israel to the point that David’s own friends turned their backs on him and his leadership.

Through selling tickets to the FAC family and our ministry partners, we were able to raise over $800 for the Healthy Food Giveaway, and had a fun time together at the theater! Praise God!
