The Christian and Missionary Alliance is an Acts 1:8 family. We take seriously the promise and hope of Jesus from some of his last words on earth.
"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” - Acts 1:8
Our Jerusalem
For the early disciples, Jerusalem was center of their world and historically one of the most important cities on earth. The center of our world is 14500 New Hampshire Avenue and the surrounding community of Silver Spring. We also occupy the suburbs of Washington, D.C., a very significant city in our world today.
Our Judea and samaria
Outside of Jerusalem were the "suburbs" of Judea and the culturally unique region of Samaria. These places represented the need for the Gospel to spread and touch a greater group of people. We are the 2nd most diverse place in America and we get to touch the peoples of the world just by loving our neighbors. - Learn More

The Ends of the Earth
From the inception of our movement, "The Alliance" has sent missionaries to the far corners of the world, always looking to reach the most unreached peoples. Today, there are approximately 700 international workers, serving 150 people groups in more than 140 cities and regions. 10% of our giving income is used to support this world-wide work!
